الكاميرا الجارحة .. وتعاود الخرطوم الابتسامة من جديد

عادت الخرطوم (بت القبايل) وعادت شجرة الصحفيين وتحلقوا في ظِلِها من جديد وعادت نُواره ست الشاي (بت البلد) بشاي النعناع والقهوة الجنزبيل والكركدي (دم الدكاترة) تمنح الجميع طلباتهم ومن كراماتها أنها لا تحتفظ بكراسة للديون ترتضي من الذين يحاسبون وتتغاضى عن الذين ينسربون ولا تقاضي عن الذين ينكرون،وغالب الأحيان تمنح بعض فقراء المهنة حق المواصلات ومصاريف الأولاد وكما يقول العرب فإن التغاضي (غالب الأخلاق).
أقبل بعد غيبة نادر جريمة المتخصص في هذا المجال وقد تركها بعد النكبة وأصبح سمساراً للخضروات في بقايا السوق المركزي قالوا له مُعاتبين كيف جاز لك أن تترك مهنة الأنبياء لمهنة السماسرة؟ فرد عبر بديهته وسخريته التي اشتهر بها وقد سارت باجابته الركبان: ( بصراحة جرائم عصابة دقلو خلت صفحة الحوادث والقضايا مسييييخة)..!!

Khartoum Smiles Again
Khartoum — the Daughter of the Tribes — has returned. The journalists’ tree has returned too, and once again they gather beneath its shade. And Nawara, the tea lady — the true daughter of the city — is back with her mint tea, ginger coffee, and karkade (the “doctors’ blood”). She serves everyone what they ask for.
Among her virtues is that she keeps no notebook for debts. She accepts payment from those who choose to pay, overlooks those who slip away quietly, and does not pursue those who deny what they owe. Often she even gives some of the poorer journalists money for transportation or for their children’s expenses. As the Arabs say, overlooking others’ faults is the noblest of manners.
After a long absence, Nader Jarima also returned — the journalist who once specialized in the crime beat. He had abandoned it after the catastrophe and had become a vegetable broker in what remains of the Central Market.
They reproached him: “How could you leave the profession of the prophets and take up the trade of brokers?”
With the quick wit and sarcasm for which he is known, he replied in words that soon spread far and wide:
“Honestly, the crimes of the Dagalo gang have made the crime pages completely tasteless…!”
